After months of planning, hard work and countless lovely farewell parties, on Tuesday 16 of July we finally left Cowes. The final push to get the house and Tabasco ready, find a solution for our cars and complete the various administrative tasks has been a bit stressful, but we made it!
One of the farewell party Ready to set sail
We couldn’t leave on a better day: sun, light winds, calm sea and a very nice night sailing under full moon with pods of dolphins joining us during the night. The first leg was an 18 hours sea passage from Cowes to Salcombe in Devon. In Salcombe we met our friends on the sailing yacht Bella, with whom we are planning to spend the next month or two of cruising.

We are now waiting for a good weather window to sail south to the North/West of Brittany with the plan to reach Camaret sur Mer; our destination before the passage across the Bay of Biscay.
